Vinna graduated with a BA in Theatre and Cinema from Hanyang University. Seoul, South Korea. In 2016, she returned to her home country, Malaysia to pursue a career as a theatre practitioner and have performed in various stage productions since. Some of her notable productions include Riwayat (2016,theatrethreesixty), Betrayal (2017, Allnighters Production), The Retreat (2017, IM Entertainment) and The Pillowman (2017, theatrethreesixty). She was also awarded the Best Newcomer Award at the 2015 Short + Sweet Festival in the Musical category. Vinna also co founded The VSC Project, a theatre company that focuses on giving a voice to questions that the Malaysian society evades through community engagement and unconventional story telling. In April, the VSC Project were invited to speak at the TEDxIMU event about their inaugural production, "DUALITY;" and how they used theatre to tackle gender issues in a conservative Malaysia.
During her training at East 15, along with 6 other artists, she also founded Cognatus, a new theatre collective that explores worldly issues from the perspective of different languages and cultures. Cognatus will present "The Ideal Woman", a devised performance in the upcoming Southend Fringe Festival.
